Three beehives suddenly sprang up in the apartment complex, and one of them was torched (I believe that's what they do) a few days back, which left only the skeleton of the hive hanging from the parapet.
Gliff, resizing has mucked up the image. I really should have paid attention to this earlier.
I think what I'll do now is to crop the image hard and tight and include only the hive. I won't need to resize the image then, and the detail in the honeycomb structure will be more obvious.
Live and learn! You'll see that the camera (and lens) captured the details beautifully (I know as I've seen the capture 100%) but the person behind the camera mucked the presentation up :).

Nice, but would have looked clearer if you had managed to get a better contrast, on the hive.
